There was so much interest in the Seuss Book List for Noobie Readers, that I've gone ahead and compiled another list for 'newer' readers. This list includes books that are at the first grade -- AR generic 1 to AR 1.9

Note: there is some overlap with the first list as I've included the generic-1 books. What I call Generic-1 books are those where the specific "monthly" designation hasn't been determined.
Readers, by the way, who aren't familiar with what Accelerated Reading is, can check out the Wikipedia entry. Essentially it is a system that grades books. Don't think though that just because you child is in Second Grade that they ought to be reading 2.0-2.9 level books. They may read above that level or they may read below that level. It's a system for YOU to try to figure out what books your child can read so that they won't get frustrated by too many words that they don't know.
