Still Dreadful!
LOL! I was going down memory lane and found this review. It's the first one I ever wrote. At the time, I was praying my daughter would train herself, if only she could be inspired, and I was so upset with this stupid book, which I considered a total waste of money, that my husband suggested I post a review on Amazon.com. That was in February of 2002, some 7 years and about 800 reviews ago.
Just goes to show you never know what will happen with that first step.

"Going Potty" - the not very interesting interactive book, We have Bear tapes, cd's and books. We LOVE Bear, but we don't love this book. The story line is very specific but not anywhere as good as the plot in the TV episode "Potty Time".
First, the flaps are uninteresting. In one Ojo merely moves her hands to her crotch (one supposes to indicate that she has to 'go'. And in another, Ojo holds Snowbear up higher. Boring for me and my 2 year old daughter. [There is also a pull tab which in one case lowers a stool to the ground, and in another lengthens TP hanging off a roll. Wow!]
Second, where there is innovation, it is difficult to use. There is a wheel which makes it look as if water is running in a toilet & in a sink where Ojo is washing her hands- the mechanism is difficult to use, even for me.
Perhaps this is book is just age inappropriate for us....
