Here A Chick, There A Chick by Bruce McMillan

This is a delightful little book that I think many toddlers and preschoolers are going to like. It uses adorable little yellow chicks to present concepts such "inside" and "outside". In this case, the book shows a chick hatching (inside) and then the chick just free of the shell as an example of outside. LOL.

The "concepts" covered range from simple (in/out) to more complex (left/right) which makes the book good for children as old as 3 or 4. (My older children just thought the chicks were adorable).

Here's a list of concepts.

Begin/End
Inside/Outside
Here/There
Straight/Crooked
Round/and Around
Left/Right
Up/Down
Stand/Sit
Asleep/Awake
In/Out
High/Low
Alone/Together

Considerations:::
Published way back in 1983, Here A Chick, There A Chick is a cute book that would make a nice library read. .

Because of the simple text, Here A Chick could be used as a practice reader.
