Love, love, love, Jerry Pinkney!!! His artwork is just captivating and my kids and I read his books over and over.
In Pinkney's Tortoise and the Hare
there is a western motif, and a few words, but not enough to matter.
After you share the story with kids, they will be able to retell it to
themselves.
Serious western motif in this retelling of the famous tale. Adults and kids will both adore the detail of the drawings as well as the expressions on the critters' faces.
Enjoy! Highly Recommend.
