Review: MOTHER GOOSE PICTURE PUZZLES by Will Hellenbrand

I have ALWAYS love rebus books, and Will Hellenbrand's MOTHER GOOSE PICTURE PUZZLES has made me a happy camper. 

Hellenbrand's drawings are lovely, and the cheerful style he has chosen just suits these classic rhymes perfectly.

As a child I like rebuses (rebeii?) because they were fun. As a mom I learned to love them because they help little ones prepare to be good readers. This style of story telling teaches young children to take clues from any images on the page, and also promotes memorization as they have to recall what the actual wording is that the pictures represent.

Highly recommend.  There is just nothing I don't like about this charming book.
