Underwater dogs!
My kids and I love Seth Casteel's photos. We gravitated, of course, to the Jack Russells, since we have Jackie mix. But really, most of the dogs are pretty entertaining. I don't know why except for the fact that they seem so ecstatically happy.

UNDERWATER DOGS has bright vivid photos that run from page edge to page edge. There's a nice selection of close-ups shots and shots from a little further back. And one of the things I liked was that the text that accompanies the images rhymes.
Life's simple things
are what dogs
enjoy.
There's nothing
better than fetching
your toy.
My
older kids --Tween and new Teen-- grabbed this book as soon as it
arrived. But I think this could be a nice book to share with younger
children who like dogs.
Catching that ring
sure was a breeze.
Look at the camera.
It's time to say
"Cheese!"
No reading information
for this book as yet. I think the children will like perusing the
photos. And I think the text gives adults the opportunity to discuss
different verbs and adjectives than the norm. My focus was on slow
versus fast, relax vs race, joy/happiness vs uh-oh/sadness.
