Good Books for Kids has two
goals. One to provide honest reviews of books, and two, to provide the
information necessary to choose good books so that children grow up to
love reading. Now, since research has shown that children get
frustrated when they read books that have too many new words in them,
that means that part of our job is provide Reading Level information.
The
format for Reading Level information that we use is the one called
Accelerated Reading level. We also provide Lexile data where it is
readily available, but we have found that the AR system is easier for
most parents to use.
