The New York Times used to list the Top 10 sellers and that was it. But beginning in January of this year (2013) they began to list an additional 5 books that I've labelled as 'contenders' for the top spots. At first I didn't consider including them on a list, but then I began to think that we might be missing out on some great reads.
Well, can't have that. So here are the books that are good sellers, ie. very popular, that might have lost out by a sale or two, that are definitely worth checking out. Note that if they make the Top 10 list, they will be removed from this list.
** Newest editions to the list will be in bold

Multiple perspectives bring this story to life. At the hub of the greater picture though are 3 kingdoms: Auranos, Paelsia and Simeros. There has been peace between them for many years. That is until a lord kids a wine maker's son.
This small event kindles intrigue and four seemingly unrelated young people find themselves caught in the middle of it.
