This is a great adventure scifi book. Highly Recommend.

Aliens are spotted sweeping into our solar system and mankind is so hopeful.  That is until we get no response from multiple attempts at contact.  Turns out that the aliens have had an eye on earth for a long while.  And they've been infiltrating... for a long while.  The first thru fourth waves of attack come and some of mankind survives.  But why?  

This fast-paced book is about the 5th Wave and whether mankind can survive it.

Upon reading book#2 we've had to back off of our hardy recommendation. Indulgent Insurgent requires quite a bit of 'suspension of disbelief'. But still a fun summer-read type of book.

Some language, some sexual content, some romance (a note I add for some guys who asked me to add notes about such things).

In book #1 the reader finds out that Jay was a girl with everything going for her... until something so terrible happened that she pushes everyone away.  In this book everything she tried to keep hidden has been revealed and now she's the topic of everyone’s conversation.  

I was reading the reviews of this book.  It's definitely a piece of strong chicklit and many of the readers were freaked at the end of book #1.   So be prepared:  Sexual situations, violence, and language.
