Whooo Loves You? by Sandra Magsamen

bookcover of Whooo Loves You? by Sandra Magsamen

The birds resting on the clothesline sing...
You're my little tweetheart! You're my little tweetheart!

The little puppies snuggled in their home bark...
We ruff you! We ruff you!

Cute, cute, cute. We like Sandra Magsamen (author of "Welcome, Little One: A Love Letter From Me to You" and the adult book "Living Artfully: A Heart-full Guide of Ideas and Inspirations That Celebrate Life, Love, and Moments That Matter"), and this is a sweet addition to her collection. [See her site at http://www.sandramagsamen.com]

The cover features a puffy cloth owl with large friendly eyes that babies will want to touch. And the inside features colorful, simple drawings that will offer adults the chance to talk about colors and animals like the pink and yellow birds, cow with hearts for spots, the owl, and puppies.

The pages in this book are thick, slick, and sturdy. The flaps less so. Unlike some boardbooks where the flaps are heavy and cardboard-like, these flaps fall into the thick-paper category. So if you have a toddler that's rough with flaps you might want to keep this book for laptime.

Thumbs up. Whooo Loves You? would make a good nighttime read (short and sweet), and a good daytime 'learning read' as well. Lots of colors, simple shapes, and humorous verses. In fact, it's the simple humor of the book that got my attention and entertained me-the-adult. So much so that I immediately wanted to share with my Tween daughter that shares my love of goofy humor. A tweetheart of a book.

What a fun book! My kids would love this. They really enjoy when I read to them. My son can now read and this book seems small enough that he can read to me.

I wanted to pass along this Mom's Guide to caring for kids teeth. It has great ideas on how to keep your kids teeth healthy. I hope you find it helpful too. http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/

Thanks again for this blog. I look forward to getting some of these books to read with my kids.
