One of the requests we often get is for suggestions for Summer Reading for Kindergartners and First Graders. Apparently with the arrival of long hot summer days there's more opportunity to relax and share a good book. Plus, there's the urge to give children a head start in the coming school year.
To help out schooling and unschooling parents (and for teachers, who are always asked for suggestions), here are our HIGHLY recommended reading lists for incoming Kindergartners and First Graders -- kids 4 to 6 . We've drawn these selections from a variety of education sources.
