Here a Face, There a Face
by Arlene Alda

I love books that challenge my kids. Especially when they stimulate their imagination and help them to look at the world in a different way.

Arlene Alda's book does just that. In Here a Face, There a Face she anthropomorphises every day things like pots and sinks; so that a moss covered tree appears to be whistling some tunes (see image to the left), and a building with large round windows and decorative carvings looks like it is peering out at the world from under lovely eyebrows.

The artwork ranges from cute to lovely, and is nearly always surprising.

Check this book out and maybe like us you'll be trying to find, and even make!, your own creations.
