Reading and education became of intense interest with the birth of her children. Since then Pam has read many academic tracts about how children learn to read, and she has read many, many books to her own children, and to children at schools where she has volunteered.
Her first review was way back in February of 2002 when she became extremely aggravated with a Bear in the Big Blue House board book. At the time she had no idea that it would become one of her favorite hobbies. But 1,000-plus reviews later, she has moved into the ranks of the top 200 Amazon reviewers.
She started the Good Books for Kids and the Good Books for Kids Lists blogs so that she and her kidlit loving buddies could write reviews and provide all the information they wanted. This would include excerpts and reading level information, as well as an overall structure that would make it easier for parents and teachers find good books for kids.
